ABAD HARMONIA AYURVEDA RESORT

Revival, the wellness centre associated with Abad Group offers the holistic healing powers of traditional ayurveda through rejuvenation and revitalization treatments. Last 10 years, the ayurveda team is led by Dr. Harshad, who since his studies is focusing his research on Health Tourism in Ayurveda and Ayurvedic Wound Healing Techniques by integrating the concepts of conventional and scientific medical systems.

The ayurveda centre offers the holistic healing specialising mostly in treating neurological and musculoskeletal diseases, arthritis and liver diseases, but offers also classical relaxing,  rejuvenation and panchakarma treatments are offered. 

The final decision of the programme will be always taken by the consulting doctor. Duration of the treatments may vary according to the direction of the doctor and process may change depending upon the patient’s body condition. There are four treatment rooms and two therapists are allocated for each patient, who take care about him or her during entire stay. There is a rule that ladies gets female therapists and gentlemen get men therapists. For repeated clients they always try to allocate the same doctors and therapists.

Therapists undergo 1 year academic and internship training at Dhanwanthari Vaidyasala Hospital where they learn treatment procedures and patient handling. After successful course completion, they are awarded Nursing and Panchakarma Certificate which is recognized by Government of India. Staffs are trained by the well experienced faculties and periodic exams are conducted to screen the best among them. Thus the resort ensures to bring out standardisation of treatments and professional quality of staffs at every units.

Overlooking the pool and gardens, Harmonia's restaurant is divided into two parts non and ayurveda section. Non - ayurveda restaurant serves various continental and traditional Kerala dishes. Ayurveda restaurant is purely vegetarian and depend on number of guests and treatments serving buffet menu or individually prepared dishes. 

Each guest after the first consultation with ayurveda doctor gets the individual diet plan, which depends on the health condition and treatment programme. The ayurveda diet is pure vegetarian. It is based on local recipes, ingrediencies, vegetables and fruits. In the restaurant breakfast, lunch and dinner is served as a buffet, divided according the doshas into three categories - vata, pita, and kapha (only if there are enough guests, otherwise food is served individually). For some serious and specific cases the food is cooked separately or the food can be taken from buffet after the consultation with doctor. Between the main meals fruit juices and ayurvedic herbal water are served.

Abad Harmonia is situated in south tip of Kerala, only 30 minutes from Trivandrum airport (Kovalam 28 km). Transfer from and to the airport is already included into the ayurveda treatment programme.

Trivandrum area reflects the beauty of the entire Kerala called as well as God's own country. In this district all natural beauties such as hill stations, back waters, beaches, lagoons, and wild life sanctuaries are present. Before or at the end of your stay short trips can be arranged on request. During the ayurveda treatment programme travelling is not recommended.
